60 seconds in the hot seat with Emily Giddings, Credit Controller for Guttridge

1. How long have you worked here at Guttridge? 

I have worked at Guttridge for just over a year.

2. What do you do on a day-to-day basis? 

I deal with the day-to-day running of the accounts and look after any visitors or phone calls that we receive in reception.

3. What is the most challenging part of your job? 

Dealing with export issues, invoice queries, and chasing customers who don’t necessarily want to pay their bills.

4. Why is Guttridge a great place to work for? 

The people, I have some great colleagues who will go out of their way to help and are very kind and caring.

5. What would you do if you would never have to work again? 

I would spend more time with my family, especially my 2 boys. I would also volunteer for various charities and give back to the community.

6. What did you want to become when you were little? 

Police Officer.

7. A random fact about yourself? 

I represented Great Britain at various international camps in the Camping and Caravan Club Youth section and traveled to various places within Europe.

8. What is your idea of the perfect day? 

Chilled day at the seaside with my husband and 2 sons followed by a meal out so I don’t have to cook and some cocktails.

9. If you were to write a book, what would it be about?

It would be a romantic comedy as these are my favorite type of books.
