From Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and Sousse, Tunisia, back to Stoneleigh and Peterborough in the UK, the Guttridge teams are having a busy few months taking our bulk materials handling equipment and expertise out and about to various exhibitions in the Middle East, North Africa and the UK.
The Saudi Agriculture Show in Riyadh back in September has been running for the last 33 years and attracted around 26,000 professional visitors and over 630 exhibitors this year. We have recently opened a representative office in Riyadh to support our customers in the MENA region and the Guttridge stand was popular with many of our grain and food handling machines on display, as well as a range of spare parts offered for bulk materials handling equipment. Experts from our Riyadh office, accompanied by colleagues from the UK, were pleased to give a warm welcome to customers and meet visitors interested in the equipment or wishing to discuss bulk materials handling issues and solutions.
Exhibiting at Nextgen 2013 was enjoyable and productive. Nextgen 2013, incorporating EBEC, the European Bioenergy Exhibition and Conference, was held at Stoneleigh, UK, in October and is Europe’s largest bioenergy exhibition and conference. The very focused biomass specialism of the event gave our biomass handling experts the opportunity to discuss in detail the Guttridge range of equipment ideally suited to biomass handling and help solve any biomass handling issues or suggest solutions for unusual applications or for handling “difficult” materials. We received a substantial number of enquiries, with a lot of interest in the centreless screw exhibit that was on display, ideal for conveying many “difficult to handle” materials.
Coming up on Wednesday 6th November we have the UK Grain exhibition at Peterborough, stand 71. 2013 will be UK Grain’s 7th year and is a one-day, post-harvest event for growers, providing a strategic opportunity to consider grain storage, handling and drying requirements. Guttridge are delighted to be launching the silo sweep auger at UK Grain this year. A robust, reliable and efficient machine with a patented drive design that will extend machine life and decrease maintenance requirements, the Guttridge Silo Sweep Auger is designed and built in the UK with full local back up. We offer a full sweep auger replacement service, from removal of the old machine to commissioning of the new. The addition of the silo sweep auger to the Guttridge range means that we now offer specialist equipment for every aspect of grain handling. Our grain handling experts will be on hand to discuss any aspect of grain handling and to demonstrate the effectiveness of the new sweep auger.
Held in Sousse, Tunisia, from the 5th to the 8th November, the International Association of Operative Millers conference features influential speakers from reputable international organisations and respected industry professionals. A high level of participation is expected from millers, suppliers, traders and other allied trade professionals from neighbouring North African countries. Guttridge will be showcasing our expertise in the area of grain and flour handling on stand H1 and our experts will be delighted to discuss the full range of bucket elevators, belt and screw conveyors ideal for applications across the milling industry, focusing on the heavy duty machines that reliably deliver the high throughputs required for centralised grain storage facilities. For flour handling applications in which hygiene and total containment are essential, we will highlight our enclosed conveyor options and the expertise offered in specifying conveyor angles and hopper design that ensure consistent material flow.
We would like to thank everyone that visited us at Saudi Agriculture and Nextgen and invite anyone planning to attend UK Grain and IAOM Tunisia to the Guttridge stands for a warm welcome and grain handling advice from the experts. We look forward to seeing you there.
