16 years

2.     Can you give more detail about your current role and what you do in a day-to-day basis?

Generally dealing with Spare Parts requirements on all Guttridge and Carier products and just trying to be as helpful as possible with any questions or assistance asked of me.

3.     Have you always been Internal Sales Proposal Engineer here at Guttridge?

I have always had more or less the same role, but at first Carier and then Guttridge, I joined Carier in 1983 and Guttridge in 2004 (leaving Carier on the Friday and starting at Guttrdge on the Monday so have working continuously with the same products and generally the same customer base for 38 years.

4.     Tell us how company has changed/grown over your time here?

There have not been any great changes to be honest that have any bearing on how I work however generally the company has grown to be more structured in its approach to tracking and production methods that allow us to process enquiries and orders in a more structured and efficient method than we use to.

5.     What is your biggest achievement so far working for Guttridge?

I cannot say that I have one achievement that I can draw to mind as my biggest but what I am most proud of is, as I said previously, having worked for both Carier & Guttridge is to have been able to give continuous support for over 35 years.

6.     What’s your funniest memory from working here at Guttridge?

Not funny but one thing comes to mind in leaving my flat keys in my desk drawer when leaving off and having to catch a train 30 minutes later so had to run back to work and get a lift back in to my flat then get to the train station which I did in 25 minutes which was quite a feat.

7.     Describe your team in two words.

Barnsley are an excellent Football Team, however if you mean at Guttridge, Professionally Focused.

8.     Please share a random fact about you!

I have run the Great North Run 13 times and have high fived at the start of the race, Bobby Robson, Tony Blair, Sting, Mo Farah, Ant or Dec (don’t know the difference) amongst others.
