Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking person to work in our Steel Store and Yard. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely unloading deliveries from lorries, storing materials accurately and ensuring they are easily maintained and maintaining the tidiness of the yard and site.
Responsibilities
- Unload vehicles using forklift and when required, palletise goods accordingly
- Check materials and component in line with company procedures, including quality control standards such as checking received items against purchase orders and drawings for accuracy
- Issue materials and components to jobs utilising the company EPR system
- Source materials for the CNC department
- Assist with the stocktake of materials
- Label and store all materials correctly
- Maintain tidiness in the steel store, yard and site at all times
- Assist with loading finished goods onto vehicles for despatch
- Ensure recycling skips are located correctly, safely, and are easily accessible
- Adhere to safety regulations and company policies
- Ensure that equipment is used safely and maintained accordingly.
This is a full time position.
Pay rate is minimum to £13.34p/h

We are looking for a new member to join our CNC department, responsible for operating a CNC Laser and Press Brake machine, working rotating shifts of earlies and lates.
Responsibilities:
- Manufacture of products in accordance with Company procedures and systems
- Unload components of the CNC machines (Laser & Press), ensuring that components are identified, labelled and palletised in accordance with Company procedures and systems
- Ensure that the quality of products are to the required standard and documentation is completed accurately
- Effective utilisation of individual's time, ensuring machine capacity is utilised efficiently
- Collating material from storage racks and recording material usage where appropriate
- Identification and reporting of any noticeable defects to plant or equipment
- Support with the maintenance of equipment, ensuring a clean an safe working environment
- Adhere to Health and Safety legislation and to the wearing of PPE at all times.
The desired candidate will
- have good time keeping and attendance
- is self motivated and would be able to work independently
- has strong task prioritisation skills
- be able to work under pressure to achieve deadlines, whilst maintaining attention to detail
- be proactive and have a positive approach to problem solving
- be able to drive a FLT
- be able to read Engineering drawings
- ideally have knowledge of Press Brake machines or Laser Machines (not essential)
