Guttridge Sieveflo

Mobile screw auger with vibratory sieve loading hopper

The Guttridge Sieveflo comprises an Easyflo mobile screw elevator with a vibratory sieve screening section built into the integral 70-litre loading hopper. The machine is designed for transferring materials from bags, drums, boxes, or IBCs into processing or packaging machinery. Its integral check sieve also allows materials to be properly check screened for oversized particles and foreign objects. A rotating paddle in the base of the hopper pushes material into the elevating screw, allowing materials with poor flow characteristics to be successfully elevated.

Guttridge Sieveflo Key Features

The Easyflo is designed for easy cleaning and maintenance – a unique quick release clamping system is used to connect the outer screw tubes, whilst slip-fit joints connect the screw sections. The system is robust and ideal for regular wet or dry cleaning regimes – essential in today’s modern factories. The ability to handle a huge range of different materials adds to the versatility of this popular machine. Manufactured with contact parts in 316 stainless steel.

Benefits

  • Designed specially for use with Auger Filling Machines
  • Rapid release tube clamps & slip-fit auger for easy clean down
  • Robust packing gland seal protects bearings from product ingress
  • 316 stainless steel contact parts
  • Tough powder coated mild steel non-contact parts
  • Available configured and modified to suit individual specifications

Construction

The Sieveflo machine is sturdily constructed, using high-quality materials throughout. All components are precision punched and fabricated for ease of assembly and interchangeability.

All contact parts are manufactured from 316-grade stainless steel, with external surfaces polished to a uniform grained finish of 180 grit. Non-contact parts are made from stainless steel or mild steel, with external surfaces powder-coated for maximum durability and long life. The base frame is constructed from box section for maximum rigidity and is mounted on wheels for manoeuvrability. The main drive consists of a standard 6-pole motor, rated to IP55, with a Vee belt driving the screw and an auxiliary Vee belt drive powering the assister paddle.

Conventional flange bearings support the stainless steel drive shaft, which rotates within a packing gland seal to provide an effective barrier against most types of products.

Operation

The Sieveflo machine is designed for ease and safety of operation. A single Allen key is all that is required for typical clean-downs between batches. The main tube sections are joined by a robust tube clamp, which can be disassembled by undoing a single captive set screw.

A hinged access door at the screw base allows for easy cleaning, while the drive shaft and screw sections are connected with slip-fit couplings, facilitating quick disassembly.
