The Guttridge valves, spouts, and fittings are the connection components that transform a set of individual machines into a complete operational production system. Guttridge manufactures a robust range of heavy-duty components designed to be compatible with our Screw Conveyors and Chain Conveyors. Valves can be used in combination with our conveyors or beneath storage vessels.
Varied to Suit Customer Requirements
Our valves are designed to handle a variety of different materials in many environments and the materials of construction and finish can be varied to suit customer requirements. Some standard features and common options are listed below, but we can customise our Slide Valves, Spouting and Fittings in many different ways to suit customer requirements.
Slide Valves
Guttridge slide valves allow for the control of product flow through an outlet. They can be manually operated or connected to many standardised control systems to automatically release product at multiple points along the machine’s length.
Guttridge slide valves can be electronically, pneumatically, or hand-operated and are manufactured to suit a wide range of required throughputs. They feature protective covers on both the top and bottom, ensuring minimal product loss. The slide plate operates smoothly on large-diameter nylon rollers mounted on zinc-plated hubs. A flexible nylon top seal and brush bottom seal clean the slide plate with every stroke. For easy installation, an optional externally mounted electrical connection box allows for quick wiring.
Diverter Valves
Guttridge diverter valves are pivotal components within bulk handling systems, providing control over material flow direction. Available in 30°, 45°, 60°, and 90° configurations, Guttridge’s twin and three-way diverter valves offer reliable performance with various configurations supported.
Featuring twin-skin construction diverter valve flaps mounted on roller bearings, they guarantee long-lasting durability and smooth operation. Integrated seamlessly into the Guttridge range of spouting and fittings, these diverter valves are essential for managing material flow.
Spouting & Ducting
Guttridge spouts and fittings are the connection components that join multiple machines or sections of ducting together. The range is constructed from high-quality materials and is available in mild steel with a painted finish, galvanised, or stainless steel.
The spoutings and fittings come in nominal external sizes of 180mm, 230mm, and 300mm, in both round and square configurations, and can also be made to specification. For specialised needs, custom transition ducts and hoppers are also available.

Slide Valves
Guttridge offers a range of superior-quality slide valves designed and built to the highest industrial standards.
- Construction: Fabricated from mild steel with a painted finish, galvanised, or stainless steel.
- Covers: Protective covers are fitted top and bottom.
- Slide Rollers: The slide plate runs on large diameter nylon rollers mounted on zinc-plated hubs, requiring no lubrication and giving a long trouble-free life.
- Seals: A flexible nylon top seal and brush bottom seal clean the slide plate at every stroke.
- Electrical: Where specified, an externally mounted electrical connection box allows all wiring to be quickly and easily connected. Position switches are Reed or Inductive
Types Available
- Electro-pneumatic: Complete with limit microswitches for status indication and solenoid valve for actuation. Automatic closure on power failure.
- Motorised: Leadscrew operated via a belt drive, complete with limit microswitches for status indication. Alternatively, with rack and pinion operation, driven with a shaft-mounted gear motor.
- Rack & Pinion: With handwheel or chainwheel & chain for hand operation. Optional limit microswitches for status indication.
- Manual: Push-pull operation. Optional limit microswitches for status indication.

Sizes available: All fittings are fabricated in 3mm thick material with 5mm flanges. Diverter valve flaps are of twin skin construction and are mounted on “sealed for life” roller bearings.

- Motorised: linear actuator/geared motor with limit of travel microswitches.
