The Red Arrows were joined by over 20 hi-tech leading
companies and organisations to meet with 240 school children at the annual STEM
day event.

The STEM day is provided for students from the ages of 10 to
14 to give them the opportunity to meet inspiring role models based around the
STEM subjects of science, technology, engineering and maths. The event was held
for the third time at the Lincolnshire home of the Red Arrows, RAF Scrampton, on 13th June 2016.

The Imagineering Foundation attended the event to promote
their after-school clubs and introduced the students to a number of their fun,
hands-on science and engineering activities. The Imagineering clubs take place
after school and give students the chance to build working engineering models
which can then be taken home to share with their families. Guttridge currently run a local Imagineering club and were invited to
join the stand to help demonstrate the projects that the club holds. Emma
Clark, Buyer at Guttridge Ltd, took the opportunity to assist on their stand to
discuss the inspirational benefits of the club and demonstrated the projects
that she has recently built with her team and students.

The STEM event gives young people the chance to meet with
new role models and introduces them to the fascinating futures open to them.
