The 145th Balmoral Show was held on 15 – 17 May at Balmoral Park, Lisburn, Northern Ireland, a new location for 2013.  Visitor numbers were well in excess of 100,000 over the three days and extra car parking facilities had to be used.  The sun shone brightly but at times there was a biting wind.  However, this did little to dampen the spirits of the crowd who came to see the cream of Irish livestock on display and visit the array of trade stands.

The Guttridge equipment was on display on the Gardiner Farm Equipment stand, located on one of the main arterial routes through the show.  The stand was very busy over all three days of the show. Many visitors to the stand had purchased Guttridge equipment in the past and were interested and encouraged to see our presence at an Irish Show.  Alex Adair, the Guttridge representative for Ireland, joined Humphrey Gardiner, owner of Gardiner Farm Equipment, every day on the stand. Paul Gott, our Sales & Marketing Director, travelled to Lisburn to add his support for one day to meet customers and discuss our equipment and services with visitors to the stand.  We received a number of enquiries from companies looking to purchase new equipment over the coming months.

Paul Gott commented: “The Balmoral Show is billed as Ireland’s largest Agricultural and Food Show and as such it was great to have the opportunity to showcase the Guttridge and Carier ranges of equipment.  As part of our continuing programme to strengthen local support to all areas across the globe, we feel that having a presence at such shows and giving people the opportunity to view our ranges of grain handling equipment first hand and meet local representatives is an important part of our customer service package.”
