Guttridge Ltd have attained over 50 years۪ experience in the
bulk material handling industry and have experienced an ever-increasing demand
for equipment and services overseas. One example of this is, Hamad M. Aldrees
& Partners Co, specialists in the industry and mining field based in
Riyadh, Saudi Arabi.
Hamad M. Aldrees & Partners Co. supply the world۪s elite
manufactures with high quality materials and required elevating equipment from
Guttridge to support their new project.
Our customer۪s new silica sand plant was a relatively
demanding application as the nature of silica sand is highly abrasive.
Guttridge provided Buckets Elevators to transport the material as they are
exceptionally reliable and their continuous developments in bucket shape, head
and boot profiles and operating specifications have resulted in the very efficient
Hiload Bucket Elevators we have today.
Guttridge designed and manufactured a system with a number
of special features in order to tackle the silica sand, these included, a cone
boot to prevent material from causing damage by getting in-between the pulley and the belt, steel buckets with metal
bands to reduce the wear and extend their working life, wearplates on the inlet
and outlet of the conveyor to minimise the wear, and standoff bearings to
prevent the ingress of dust into the bearings and enhance reliability.
Mostafa Turk, Project Engineer at Hamad M. Aldrees &
Partners Co, recently commented,
The Guttridge Bucket Elevators are the best equipment on site! They
are the easiest to commission and operate and I know that we can thoroughly rely
on them. Thank you to Guttridge for all of your help and also for the
maintenance regime you kindly demonstrated.
Bucket Elevators represent one of the most popular systems for
elevating bulk materials in use today. Their inherent simplicity makes them a
popular choice for bulk material handling and processing applications all over
the world.
