Jacob has been with the company for just over 16 years now. He started here at Guttridge as an apprentice in Welding and Fabrication. Jacob had worked for Guttridge for 4 years when he decided to travel the world and open up to new and different experiences plus be able to demonstrate his Welding knowledge. Jacob successfully joined a company in New Zealand and took on a Welder/Fabricator role there. However, there is no place like home. Once he’d returned from his travels Jacob applied for a job here at Guttridge and became a Service Engineer, and we are so glad he did. This was a stepping stone for Jacob, allowing him to gain a full understanding of our machinery in production, in a wide variety of industries, working closely with customers from commissioning through to service contracts.
Over the years Jacob filled various positions and slowly moved up the career ladder, gaining more experience which allowed him to successfully progress, leading up to his new current role as Aftermarket Service Manager.
Jacob is very much enjoying his new position and we are wishing him luck in his new role!
