As a big thank you to all employees for their continued support in growing the company and their commitment to meeting the needs of our customers, the Guttridge management team treated all employees to a hog roast in their lunch break. The weather was perfect on the planned day, the 19th June, and staff enjoyed a slightly extended lunch break to sit together and enjoy the food in the warm sunshine. It was an opportunity for staff from all departments to get together and enjoy each other’s company.
Last year Guttridge celebrated its 50th anniversary with an open day in June to which employee’s families were invited for a tour of the factory followed by strawberries and cream and fresh cream cakes in a marquee erected on the premises. In November, the company hosted a celebratory evening of excellent cuisine, a live band, entertainment including a silhouette artist and magician and table gifts for all employees and their spouses as a thank you for the part they played in taking the company successfully to 50 years in the materials handling industry.
Last month saw the largest single order the company has ever received along with a record monthly order intake and the management team recognise that the achievement of this continued growth is due to the contribution and expertise of each and every employee. Noz Talukdar, Managing Director, commented: "At Guttridge, a high emphasis is placed on developing and maintaining a well-trained, skilled and committed workforce and events such as this latest hog roast celebration give Guttridge employees the recognition and thanks that they deserve."
