Guttridge Ltd enjoyed a second successful year exhibiting at the Upakovka packaging machinery, food processing, packaging production and packaging material trade fair from 29 January to 1 February 2013 in support of our agents BBVerpackungsmaschinen (BBV). Exhibiting on the BBV stand alongside fellow UK companies All-Fill, Winkworth and Gainsborough Engineering, we obtained a valuable insight into the Russian food and beverages industry. The demand for processed and packaged food and also convenience foods in Russia is increasing with the continued spread of super- and hypermarkets, which are now becoming established in medium-sized towns. The Guttridge range of food handling equipment is ideally suited to this market.
BBV, as agents for the Guttridge range of bulk materials handling machinery in Russia and Europe, received a significant number of enquiries for food processing and packaging systems, many of which will feature Guttridge equipment. Bob Tatlow, Export Sales Manager for Guttridge, commented “As specialist producers of bulk materials handling equipment, Guttridge manufacture a range of stainless steel machinery built primarily for the food processing market and the Upakovka exhibition is an ideal opportunity to demonstrate this alongside our co-exhibitors. Working together, we were able to provide comprehensive food processing and packaging solutions to visitors to the stand and have accumulated a number of highly promising enquiries and started to build mutually beneficial working relationships. The “home from home” atmosphere on the stand made it an enjoyable and successful event.”
